Knitting in the Round: Hat (1st Session)

OCTOBER 8th & 15th from 7-8:30pm (Wednesdays)

Deadline to Sign-up: October 1st

Class fee is $48 (not including materials)
A non-refundable $20 deposit* is required when you sign-up to hold your seat in class and the remaining $28 is due by the beginning of class on the 8th

Materials Needed for Class:

  • One ball Ella Rae Classic Worsted ($8) or Classic Worsted Superwash ($9)
  • US 7 circular needle, 16" long
  • US 7 double-pointed needles, at least 6" long

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

Learn to knit in the round while knitting a hat! We will learn to use circular needles and double pointed needles as we work through a simple hat. We will talk about different methods of knitting in the round, and how to read patterns and charts for circular knitting, and the differences between circular knitting and knitting flat. We will practice these ideas by knitting simple adult hat.

Student should be familiar with casting on, and the knit/purl stitches, and simple decreases.
