WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

You know how to knit- but how do you make sense of a pattern? We will look at several patterns and charts and talk about abbreviations, and pattern lingo, brackets, asterisks, repeats, how to follow a chart, and the differences between knitting from a written pattern and knitting from a chart.

Class will include patterns for the student to take home as part of the class materials.

Prior Knowledge: Student should be familiar with basic knitting techniques such as casting on/binding off, knit/purl stitches, and increases and decreases
